Here Be Dragons

It was quite the weekend here in Toronto. Along with celebrating our Country’s 149th Birthday, we also found ourselves invaded by Vikings, the Spanish and some Americans. As part of the Redpath Waterfront festival, Toronto Harbour played host to some pretty amazing tall ships: The Draken Harald Hårfagre, the El Galeón and the Pride of Baltimore II. The place was packed, so I did not get the shots I would have liked. Still, some are better than none.

First up is the Draken Harald Hårfagre, the world’s largest working Viking ship. More info about this awesome ship and it’s expedition can be found here. It is making a summer long journey around the great lakes so if you can, you should definitely try to catch it. But beware – Draken means Dragon in English.
