Would be somewhat versed in how to use their camera – off the auto settings

NOPE

I have fiddled with my Nikon D3200 for ages now, trying to get the hang of using the manual settings

Tonight, all the pennies finally dropped and I figured it out

Here is the result

I feel like I just won the Academy Award!

Nothing will be safe now…
